TM 267--In Medias Res

In medias res--I remember that one from English class. It's like when you start a story from the middle, and then tell the beginning while you're telling the rest of the story. With flashbacks and memories and stuff. I always thought stories like that were pretty cool.

But what the Latin really means is "in the middle of things." Oh, shut up. Maybe I don't do a whole lot of big words and Latin phrases and stuff like that. I usually leave that to the other guys, but that doesn't mean I don't know what they mean. I mean, come on--I work with some pretty damn smart people. I know I'm kind of a joke, but I need to understand when they're talking about.

Anyway, that's not really what I meant to say. We're still doing free association, here, right? Okay, so--in the middle of things? Always. As part of the League, there's always some big fight or another, and I'm not exactly a sidelines kind of guy. I like being in the middle of the action. Same goes for when I'm in Central City, on my own. Always in the middle of things, doing stuff, being seen... It's who I am.

So, I guess in medias res: Me. Always in the middle of things.
