TM 263--Write about receiving a present that was not what you had hoped for

Wait, what?  I mean—isn't the point of a present that it's something surprising and unexpected?  How can something not be what you were hoping for if it's surprising and unexpected?  That...  I don't know.  Seems a little ungrateful, you know?

But, okay. A present that wasn’t what I was hoping for? I… don’t know that I’ve ever had one of those. I get stuff a lot as the Flash. People in Central City tend to give me a lot of food, and—I have to say—I’m totally not complaining. My food bills are already pretty astronomical, and—yeah—every little bit helps. So food doesn’t really count, because it’s a gift, and it’s pretty much exactly what I expect it to be.

So… well, there’s the Flash Museum. Which was kind of a gift. At least—that’s how I saw it. And it was so much more than I would ever have hoped for or expected.  And Bats and Orion showing for the dedication was just… yeah. Again—so much more than I could have hoped for. But I don’t know if that counts, because the question implies disappointment, and I’m basically never disappointed by a present so… whatever.

Anyway, I’m outta here. Like Robocop said—somewhere there is a crime happening.
